Heterogeneous Thread Migration for Adaptive High Performance Computing
-Hai Jiang

This research project is about a heterogeneous thread migration scheme in adaptive high performance computing (HPC). It is an application-level migration approach which has better portability and scalability. With this scheme, HPC system can detect and utilize idle cycles to improve the whole system's throughput, and redistribute workloads to speedup job computation. Therefore, the thread migration scheme increase system resource utilization and improve application performance. It could be used in wide-area distributed systems, such as Grid computing environments.
